Call for Papers – Beyond Data Protection Conference, 21-22 Sept’23

Project

INFO-LEG is a research project looking to improve legal protection of people against harms associated with automated processing of information (‘information-induced harms’). We aim to achieve this by studying information and how it relates to people from the perspectives of law, economics, and information studies.

ERC funding

INFO-LEG is generously funded by the European Research Council (ERC) through the ERC Starting Grant awarded to Nadya Purtova in 2016 under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 716971). We are grateful to the ERC for giving us the opportunity to look into the future of privacy and data protection law.

TILT & Montaigne

The project had two academic homes: Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society (Tilburg University) and Montaigne Centre for Rule of Law and Administration of Justice (Utrecht University). Find out more about these institutions here and here.
